Victor M. Borras proudly served as a City Councilman for the 8th District in West Haven, Connecticut, from 2021 to 2023. He also proudly served in the United States Army in 1991—an experience that strengthened his love for this country and deepened his respect for those who wear the uniform. His life has always been guided by faith, family, and freedom—values he carries not just in words, but in action every single day.

Victor believes that strong communities are built on personal responsibility, respect for law and order, and a genuine commitment to serving others. These are not just principles to him—they are the foundation of how he lives, leads, and gives back.

In his early years in West Haven, Victor served as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Derby, Connecticut, and later as a Fire Department Chaplain in West Haven—roles he carried out with pride and compassion. Whether offering protection or providing comfort during difficult moments, he has always been there for people when they needed someone the most.

He also dedicated nine years to working for the City of West Haven in both the Tax and Building Departments, where he saw firsthand the challenges working families face. Those experiences didn’t just teach him how government works—they showed him why it must work better for the people it serves.

Today, Victor works as a manager for Frontier, a Verizon company, where he continues to lead, mentor, and fight for everyday people. His journey—from public service to the private sector—has given him a real-world understanding of what families are going through.
